The holiday season is all about giving, and one of our favorite traditions is here once again... Spoil a Senior!
What began during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into one of our most meaningful annual community initiatives. In 2020, a former employee launched the program with a simple but heartfelt mission: to spread holiday cheer to local seniors during a time when many felt isolated and alone. What started as a small act of kindness has since blossomed into a cherished tradition that continues to grow year after year.
Today, Spoil a Senior is about much more than gifts. It's about bringing joy, comfort, and connection to seniors in our community during the holiday season. Every wrapped package serves as a reminder that they are valued, remembered, and cared for.
This year, we're proud to partner with five local agencies to help make the season brighter for seniors in need. Through these partnerships, we receive wish lists directly from local seniors, allowing donors to purchase meaningful gifts that reflect their individual wants and needs. From cozy blankets and warm winter accessories to favorite snacks and everyday essentials, each gift is thoughtfully selected to bring a smile to someone's face.
How You Can Participate
Starting November 16th, our Senior Tree will be displayed in our lobby, filled with postcards representing local seniors and their holiday wish lists.
Getting involved is easy:
🎁 Visit our lobby or drive-thru and select a postcard from the Senior Tree.
🎁 Purchase the item(s) listed on the postcard.
🎁 Wrap your gift and attach the postcard.
🎁 Return the wrapped gift by Monday, December 14th to the credit union.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps make the holidays a little brighter for a local senior.

We understand that shopping for a senior may not be possible for everyone, but there are still many meaningful ways to make a difference in our community this holiday season.
Make a monetary donation.
Many local nonprofits and charitable organizations rely on financial contributions to provide meals, gifts, clothing, and essential services to individuals and families in need throughout the holiday season.
Support a local food pantry.
Food insecurity doesn't take a holiday. Consider donating nonperishable food items or organizing a food drive to help stock local pantries during the winter months.
Volunteer your time.
Whether it's serving a meal, assisting at a community event, or helping a local nonprofit prepare for the holidays, your time can be just as valuable as a financial gift.
